Dot S.

When it's "raining stones" aka a shit storm and I am at my wits end,  I drink a lot of water, eat fruit and veggies and either jog, swim or go for a very brisk walk to break a sweat. Movement makes everyone feel better. Then I get a massage and if I can't find anyone to massage me, I massage my own feet, hands, face and scalp. I pour a whole bag of epsom salt into a hot bath and soak and scrub my body with a very rough cloth to make my skin softer, all while listening to my favorite tunes. I take deep breaths and live in the moment as that's ALL we have. It may sound cheesy but it's best to "Live for Today" like my Grandma told me "if you have one foot in yesterday and one foot in tomorrow; your legs are wide open and you're shitting all over today!"

About Me

I am a Libra, born in Manchester, Ct, USA. My parents were both 17 when I was born and they were hippies, flower children, so to speak. They listened to the music of Janis Joplin, the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and others. They taught me at a very early age to walk on their backs and massage their feet. At age five I already was busy walking on my families backs and showing off my tiny strong hands. Music and massage were very important to me already as a child. My parents brought me to many concerts, like Frank Zappa, Grateful Dead, Melanie, etc.

As I became a teenager I still wanted to continue going to concerts but my parents were not so interested in concerts or supporting my habit of two to three concerts per week, anymore. I had clever ways to sneak into shows, for example taping two old concert-ticket stubs together and getting in or having people open the side doors from inside, etc.

I wanted to meet the musicians, not just be in the audience, so I came up with the idea to go early to the concert halls and ask the roadies, management and musicians if they wanted to trade back or feet massages for tickets and passes. This was obviously a good idea and my massage is through word of mouth, known to be the best massage around. Naturally I don't trade anymore, it's now my profession. Meet the lady who took her two passions (music and massage) and made an exciting career and book about it!

I have seen over 3000 concerts in my life, so far. After about 500 I thought I should stop and become serious and studied photography at the University of New Hampshire. The Grateful Dead played three concerts in Hartford, CT on April 2nd, 3rd and 4th 1988. I couldn't resist, went and on the second day I met a boy who changed my whole life. A German who looks like John Lennon. So I quit the UNH, put all my belongings (once again) in storage and started yet another round with the Grateful Dead (I massaged the drummers on tour, so tickets were never a problem).

The German boy and I went on the Dead tour together. The rest is history, the German boy and I are still good friends. We share our beautiful daughter Jasmine and live close to each other since 1989 in Berlin, Germany where I'm famous for being Dr. Dot, Celebrity Masseuse and Confidant.

In 2002 I decided to move to NYC. I still have a flat in Berlin and have A LOT going on there, so I fly back and forth just about every other month. I am happy my Massage Team is growing, so if I can not personally massage my clients, one of my trusty, highly trained assistants can take care of them.I would put my hand in fire for each and every one of them and can guarantee high quality treatment from everyone on my team. I suggest to everyone to take your hobby and try and turn it into your career and you shall find true happiness and contentment, like I have. Live, Love, and Laugh.
